A noted local Waterford Artist and Watercolourist, Mary Tritschler, began her formal education in Art at the Central Technical Institute in Waterford with Robert Bourke and Con Fay. She completed the principles of teaching at the National College of Art and Design in Kildare Street, Dublin. She furthered her studies at Crawford College of Art in Cork and the University of Bonn in Germany.

Mary enjoyed teaching Art for many years in the Ursuline Convent, St. Paul’s Community College, Mooncoin VEC and Slieverue VEC and has held adult courses in pottery at the Central Technical Institute, Parnell Street and Waterford Regional Technical College, Waterford.

A founder member of the Dunmore East Watercolour Group and also an associate of the Living Art Group, Mary has contributed to many exhibitions and her work is exhibited at Waterford Regional Hospital in the Healing Art Collection.

Mary is now painting in this medium, at her
Studio in Belmont House since 1991.

A new direction.....Mary is currently studying in Germany under Dr Professor Markus Lupertz who is the current head of the Dusseldorf school of Art.
